Great Inverurie Bike Ride

For many years, the Great Inverurie Bike Ride (GIBR) has been a hugely popular sportive starting and finishing at Kellands Park in Inverurie.  It is family friendly and mixed lengths of ride to suit different groups.  For the past few years the club has provided support, with our stand at the HQ and help with marshals and drinks stations.

However, the club is working with Aberdeenshire Council to bring more to the event with the aim of involving a larger number of people in multiple events.

The council will continue to organise and run the core elements with the club assisting to promote it and creating additional rides and activities.

Check out this page and Facebook for lots more information.

-YOUTH RIDES-

New in 2018, we hope these will return in the near future as they are an introduction to racing and be suitable for any ability.

We  split the morning into several different age categories to allow as many youths as possible to take part, from young kids on balance bikes to more experienced older riders.

More information on future races will be available once announcements of the GIBR is known.

All races are free of charge.

Northboats Road Race

The popular Northboats Road Race takes place on the Fetternear circuit. This narrow short loop offers something for everyone and plenty opportunities for breakaways or opportunist puncheurs.

Always a wide selection of food at the end for both riders and volunteers, this event which is part of the Grampian evening race series is one to get your name down for early.

If you'd like to see the race results and read our short race report, please do so via the following link.
