Throughout the winter, our coaching sessions continue although they mostly focus on cyclocross and off-road skills and of course, can be more impacted by the weather.
However, we also provide an indoor training programme at the Inverurie Community Campus on Monday evenings. This is mostly aimed at our slightly older riders but anyone who has a suitable bike can come along. Generally if you are under ten or so, it's best to check in with us first.
The sessions include working through a simple to follow programme, based on perceived effort, and is a great way to maintain or build fitness/stamina over the winter.
The sessions are open to TEN members and non-members although all those attending should book onto the sessions in advance - you can do so via our portal (once you are signed in, click on coaching). The sessions are £3 for TEN members and £5 for non-members.
Anyone coming along should have a suitable bike, in good working condition and clean (this includes free of mud and a well maintained chainset - don't want mud/oil flinging onto the floor) and a turbo trainer or roller. You should also bring along a mat or towel (to protect the floor) and a water bottle. There are toilet and water facilities at the venue.
TEN coaches may be able to support with setting up at the beginning of a session, but they may not have time to do so therefore riders should be able to set themselves up ready for the start of the session.
Doors open at 1900 and we will finish by 2000. Please do not take any bikes through the front doors of the campus - access if via the Jackson Street / St Andrews side of the campus. Details of arrival are included in the confirmation email you will receive when you sign-up. Look out for this in spam boxes - from firstname.lastname@example.org.
